Dying for some s'mores or a way to warm your hands? Here are some easy fire hacks!
The worst thing when camping is getting to a site and not being able to start a fire to use for all the reasons you might. But here are some things that Elon Outdoors Trip Leaders use just incase things don't work out at their camp site as planned!
Fast Fire Starters:
- A lighter... it sounds silly, but you would be surprised how often people forget this very important piece of gear
- Cotton balls covered in vaseline (do not ask me the science behind this... I do not know, but those suckers burn and they burn well!)
- A container full of dry skinny and small pieces of wood, paper, or birch
- Use lint... not only does it keep your belly button warm, but it will also help keep your camping area toasty as well with some good dries logs
