The perfect place for a night or two on the AT

Ever slept four grown humans in a two person tent? We have. Was it worth it? Hecks to the yeah it was!

We had a great time strolling next to wild horses and watching the sun go down over the Blue Ridge. It wasn't a difficult hike and had beautiful views the entire time.

We left the Elon area at about 10:00AM with a quick stop in Greensboro for a lunch break. After 2 hours of driving, it took us about two hours to hike up to our camping spot. The terrain was not too bad-- couple tough ups but nothing advanced. We reached the peak, sat to watch the sunset, then set up camp and a fire. The campgrounds that were previously set up there were perfect; we were able to find lots of dead branches to help us keep it going. Only woke up to a couple horses in our site throughout the night, but over all I would do it again in a second. It was absolutely gorgeous!
